“The Plan A Green Movie Nights are back and this time we are stepping up our game. For the first time ever in a local cinema, we are proud to present 2040 – Join the Regeneration a hybrid feature documentary by the award-winning Australian director Damon Gameau (The Sugar Film) in partnership with the non-profit and iconic Babylon Berlin.
There couldn’t be a more relevant time for this 11th edition of our famous Green Movie Night series, we are embarking on a journey with Damon to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream. With the motto #WhatsYour2040, The movie is structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Gameau blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.
Finishing the night in a powerful note we invited 3 speakers to discuss the influence of storytelling and filmmaking in promoting sustainability in this climate change era, a discussion framed by Plan A’s Project Coordinator. As a bonus, Plan A prepared an open mic session for all sustainable business, projects and NGOs that wish to introduce their work to the Berlin community. We strongly invite the audience to participate in what will prove to be an assiduous discussion and amazing night.
