Call for Papers: Corporate Governance in Nonprofit-Organizations

Issue 13/1, Journal for Business, Economics & Ethics/ Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik (zfwu)

The zfwu issue 13/1 “Corporate Governance in Non-Profit-Organizations” is dedicated to one of the most neglected issues in the realm of Business Ethics. For a long period of time corporate governance has been considered only as relevant for large for-profit organiza-tions. However, on closer inspection, the term “governance” describes a more general form of government that covers individual self technologies, governance in companies and organizations, states, and supranational entities. Governance describes the govern-mental process as well as the (self) reflection of these processes. It is this broader per-spective which we try to apply to nonprofit organizations. We would like to know how hospitals, nursing homes as well as nongovernmental organizations such as associations or social initiatives are managed and controlled in the sense of such a broader govern-ance understanding.

Editors of this issue are Prof. Dr. Dr. Alexander Brink (Bayreuth University and Witten/Herdecke University) and PD Dr. Arne Manzeschke (Bayreuth University). Leading article: Prof. Dr. Michael Meyer (Wien University)

Deadline for submissions: October, 1 2011
