„Have your volunteer programs been on hold due to the pandemic? Have you dipped a toe in virtual volunteerism but looking to expand and have even more impact? Are you thinking about how to balance in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities going forward? Join your peers for a session on best practices for virtual volunteerism and thinking through the right approach for your organization. This training will cover the following objectives:

Provide guidance and best practices to nonprofits and City Agencies on creating and executing impactful volunteer activities in a virtual environment
Maximizing volunteer impact and engagement in a virtual setting
Provide tools to help nonprofits scope and implement virtual volunteer opportunities

This NYC Service-sponsored training will be led by Amita Nagaraja. Amita is a strategic consultant and coach who has spent close to 20 years in CSR and employee engagement in the corporate sector and now advises nonprofits, CSR teams and foundations in several areas including volunteerism, grant-making, and strategic partnerships and programs.

NYC Service strives to host inclusive, accessible programming that allows for all New Yorkers to engage fully. To request an accommodation, such as an ASL interpreter, CART services, or the presence of an interpreter in your preferred language, please email nycservice@cityhall.nyc.gov by April 6th. If you are requesting a language accommodation, please identify the language for which you’d like to request interpretation services in your email.“

*NOTE: A link to the virtual meeting will be provided to all attendees closer to the date of the event.*
