- The EABIS annual colloquium is unique. It brings together business and academia. It is not just another academic conference or CR conference for practitioners. It’s no easy task to satisfy the needs of practitioners and academics in the same event - but the aim is to do just that.
- Plenty of opportunities to have your say. Wall-posters for anyone to post knowledge gaps that emerge and which need to be researched.
- CR Knowledge and Learning Forum. A 90-minute marketplace for open one-to-one exchange showcasing latest CR case studies; EABIS-funded research projects; and several new curriculum development projects.
- The whole morning of Day 2 is devoted to the presentation of research contributions from academics and management development thinking applied to CR, much of it yet unpublished. Discussions are kicked off with brief commentaries by a business lead and an academic counterpart to pick out common themes.
- High-level speakers in plenaries and breakout sessions: Jane Nelson, John Elkington, Sir Michael Rake, Prof. Dexter Dunphy, Janet Blake, Dr Lance Moir and many more.
- Half of the event devoted to specialist seminars drilling down on key questions associated with embedding CR; and to workshops debating latest thinking and experience.
- Launches of international innovations: The EABIS-EFMD Business in Society Gateway portal & Cranfield School of Management “50 Lessons on Corporate Responsibility”.
- Networking events, including a Gala Dinner at Woburn Abbey to meet informally with leading academic researchers and practitioners to gain business relevant insights and business-academic lunches to develop international communities of practice.
- Meet many of the authors of the latest books and journals on CR and sustainability.
- In one place: look at some of the latest management development resources on CR; hear from some of the world’s leading companies; have the opportunity to debate some of the toughest issues in embedding CR and sustainability.
