Technical Specialist I – Corporate Responsibility at AIAG Thursday, March 29th, 2012
Overview:
AIAG a not for profit organization supporting the global business supply chain has an opening for a Technical Specialist that will be responsible to facilitate project logistics such as meetings and conference calls for corporate responsibility initiatives. The successful candidate will support the Program Management staffing addressing critical issues in the Automotive supply chain, recruit members and volunteers to ensure adequate resources to solve the problem, manage the project, and promote its adoption. Strong interpersonal skills, marketing experience, and automotive knowledge are highly desired.
Duties and Responsibilities:
AIAG Responsibilities
Retain and grow both membership and volunteer participation
Develop a solid understanding of the subject areas you support
Provide support that maximizes volunteer satisfaction
Direct Support of Committee Activities
Facilitate volunteer projects using the AIAG project management methodology
Ensure that volunteers have an understanding AIAG policies, procedures, and available tools.
Ensure that appropriate volunteer resources are available for work groups
Assist in the successful roll-out of a deliverable
Manage the impact of projects on AIAG related organizational resources
support event planning and execution
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience in environmental and social Corporate Responsibility issues
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
automotive related experience
2-4 years prior project management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to work with employees at all levels, volunteers, customers and vendors
Willing to work extended hours
