The Cone Communications Corporate Responsibility discipline believes CR is more than compliance and strategic philanthropy. Currently, Cone Communications seeks an Account Director/Vice President within our Corporate Responsibility discipline with 8+ years of deep CR strategic communications and CR reporting experience. Experience must include relevant CR issues such as environmental sustainability, ethical practices, health and wellness, human rights and supply chain, transparency and CR reporting.

Our fast paced group delivers innovative CR platforms and strategic counsel to an exciting suite of clients including multi-national corporations. We seek a leader with global vision to join our group and provide credible, sound and ground-breaking solutions to our clients.

As an experienced member of the account team(s), the Account Director/Vice President leads by example and provides the highest quality of client service. Also, we seek a CSR professional with deep understanding of CR Reporting and analysis.

The Account Director/Vice President must have 8+ years of relevant Corporate Responsibility experience in a strategic communications role with CR reporting responsibilities (PR/Communications agency background or in-house). Our ideal Account Director/Vice President candidate must be a builder of CR programs and platforms and should possess defined technical and analytical abilities as well as a personal brand in the CR space.

Highly specific corporate social responsibility and PR/Communications experience is a must. Candidates must also possess the following:

  • Deep passion for Materiality, Reporting, CR Platform development and Communications
  • Strong client management and client relations skills
  • Mastery of account management and financial management
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective staff management and leadership skills
  • Persuasive and commanding presentation style
  • Business development experience and success
  • Analytical thinking and strategic planning and direction
  • Mature judgment in sensitive agency matters
  • Creative and innovative mindset
  • Ability to travel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for leading multiple, complex CR accounts while maintaining focus on meeting revenue goals
  • Strategic and innovative vision and leadership with a goal of exceeding client expectations
  • Ability to produce world class CR Reports
  • Driving the continued growth and awareness of Cone’s CR discipline, under the Discipline Head’s mentorship
  • Fostering a motivating and empowering work environment
  • Providing ongoing and frequent dialogue with direct reports surrounding areas of professional and career development
