Apple is looking for candidates with experience in social responsibility auditing and monitoring, preferably in the technology sector. The candidate will also preferably possess expertise in auditing large industrial facilities and have a background in human resource management and/or environment, health and safety issues.
This individual will work with the Supplier Responsibility’s Compliance Program Manager as part of the team responsible for contributing to Apple’s Supplier Responsibility (SR) program. This position is based in Asia.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Audits
Conduct SR audits of Apple’s suppliers and sub-tier suppliers
Ensure compliance with Apple Code of Conduct and other required international labor, social, health and safety, environmental regulations and/or standards
Manage auditing processes, including audit schedules, on-site audits w/ third-party auditors, etc.
Manage any pre-audit activities and awareness training with suppliers to ensure awareness of the SR audits
Monitor suppliers’ corrective action plans and follow through verification audits in order to close out corrective action plans in a timely matter
Project Management
Work with Apple SR Compliance Program Manager to escalate and resolve any non-compliance issues
Collect, maintain and present data relevant to SR performance of Apple suppliers
Manage focused investigations for core violation cases and follow through remediation programs in partnership w/ third party firms
Participate in other SR team initiatives and projects
Business Partnership
Work with Apple Compliance Program Manager and senior team to enhance and evolve SR program to drive measurable improvements on process efficiency and effectiveness
Partner with internal business partners such as Capacity Building for training projects, providing information as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with internal business functions and the third party audit firms to support the SR audits
Educate Apple personnel in SR program, practices and standards
REQUIRED SKILLS
+ years prior full-time relevant work experience in social responsibility audits, environmental management, and/or supplier responsibility, preferably with a large corporation and/or consulting firm
Minimum BA/BS degree, with understanding and/or educational background in Corporate Social Responsibility
Significant experience with factory operations, monitoring, auditing, and remediation
Exceptional business communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
Solid project management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
Knowledge of applicable national and international regulatory requirements and industry standards related to social responsibility
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with little direction
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Positive attitude and team focus
Strong Problem solving/analytical skills
Experience or knowledge of technology sector desired
Sensitive to cultural differences in country/region of coverage
Fluent in both Korean and English is required – both written and verbal (Japanese is plus)
Ability to travel
