Our client, one of the world’s best known extractives companies, is looking for a Corporate Citizenship Executive to join their Corporate Affairs team.
This exciting and challenging opportunity will expose the successful candidate to a team that is committed to driving their corporate responsibility activities forward by ensuring that they are at the forefront of sustainable development.
Supporting the Corporate Citizenship Manager, it is expected that the Corporate Citizenship Executive will bring expertise in a number of sustainability disciplines (i.e. community engagement, sustainability reporting, and international development).
The day to day responsibilities will include:
- Managing the collection and collation of reputation and sustainability risk data
- Supporting and administering internal compliance procedures
- Supporting the strengthening of sustainability performance management and reporting systems
- Supporting the development of a long-term stakeholder engagement strategy at a group-wide and business unit level.
- Monitoring broader corporate citizenship developments of relevance to the company
Contributing to the development and improvement of the company’s corporate citizenship program
This position will suit a committed and enthusiastic sustainability professional who has had exposure to corporate community development programmes and/or corporate-community relations.
Ideally with a background in international relations/development or other relevant academic discipline, we are looking for a demonstrable track record of professional, scholarly or other experience showing a commitment to sustainability.
Those with knowledge and understanding of sustainability and reputation issues in the extractives industry would be of particular interest as well as those who have experience of community programmes in Africa or other developing countries.
