Position Summary
The Manager of Community Engagement will help execute the company’s global CSR strategy, priorities and programs with a focus on community engagement efforts and philanthropy. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility this person will participate in the development, execution and evolution of Hyatt’s global volunteer programs, corporate giving and philanthropy initiatives and will also assume responsibility for all CSR-related metrics collection, reporting and communication. The position is based in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
* Under the supervision of the V.P – C.S.R, participate in the development, execution and evolution of Hyatt’s global CSR strategies
* Collaborate with global business units, including human resources, legal, finance, corporate communications, operations and brand marketing to ensure that community engagement and philanthropic programs address the strategic needs of the business, are regionally relevant, are effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders and are supported globally.
* Study, research and report on CSR trends, policy, and competitive best practices. Identify program gaps by benchmarking best in class. Identify business or legislative trends that could shape policy or influence programs.

Program Design, Development and Management
* Manage day to day coordination, execution and communication of Hyatt Community, Hyatt’s corporate philanthropic program, to ensure relevance, accountability and alignment with business and CSR objectives
* Develop and manage process for evaluating, tracking and responding to internal and external requests for donations and contributions
* Manage annual budget for corporate contributions against budget and forecast

CSR Reporting
* Oversee CSR metrics collection process and reporting company-wide (philanthropy, environment, volunteer efforts, corporate giving). Audit data, track global reporting consistency and data quality and drive accountability across global business units
* Gather and analyze data for internal and external reporting and communication efforts
* Identify process improvements and refine collection methods as needed

Communication
* Act as main point of contact for field, corporate office and customers regarding Hyatt’s community engagement, philanthropic and corporate giving initiatives and programs
* Collaborate with internal communications and corporate communication departments to ensure effective and integrated communication programs around Hyatt’s CSR initiatives.
* Support executives asked to represent the company’s CSR agenda; brief them with key messages and supporting materials
* Represent and speak on behalf of Hyatt CSR as needed
* Assist with the development and execution of annual CSR report

Strategic Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
* Develop and maintain relationships with key Hyatt NGO partners and other stakeholders. Work with partners to develop relevant programs and initiatives that support Hyatt’s CSR and business objects globally and/or regionally.

Position Requirements
* 3-5 years experience in business, public policy, public administration or CSR related field a must. Experience managing grant and philanthropic programs for a corporation or NGO preferred.
* Experience developing internal and external communication initiatives including press releases, employee communication initiatives and corporate social responsibility reports
* Candidate must exhibit outstanding analytical, quantitative and data management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively within a global corporate structure, demonstrate influencing skills and a track record of working across a range of cultures and languages.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects involving a large number of contributing global functions, stakeholders and departments
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically is required. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality are also required.
* Multisite organizational experience is required. Industry experience is preferred
* Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred
* Proficiency in at least one foreign language is preferred but not required
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
