, Germany > A new element in the news grid of CSR NEWS is closing an important gap on the information about the sustainability engagement of enterprises: The csr-reporting.net integrated today makes sustainability reports of over 250 large enterprises accessible to a broader public – free of charge and clearly structured. But that’s not all to it:

Simultaneously, the results of the Institute for Ecological Economy Research/ future-Rankings, the Good Company Rankings, the Accountability Rankings as well as the development of the companies in these rankings will be represented in a clearly arranged way. Insofar the company has been ranked. This information will be added with further input about the GRI-Standard and memberships such as Global Compact (linked to the “Communication in Progress”). As far as possible, sustainability reports will be offered as e-book, and thus are easy to read on-screen and can be investigated quickly. Furthermore, for a prompt orientation the website offers information about companies and their contact details such as postal address, e-mail, phone number, homepage screenshot, and a link to the company’s website. Current and preceding sustainability reports can be downloaded through csr-reporting.net. The user-friendly navigation enables the subdivision of companies into business sectors or countries as well as to retrieve information on rankings.

An important element of csr-reporting.net is its connection to the other modules of CSR NEWS: Whereas sustainability reports are often published every two years or at best yearly, news pieces from the news section of CSR NEWS will be added on csr-reporting.net in regard to the prevailing company. Hence, up to date information on the enterprises is always provided. On the one hand, these news are generated by partner enterprises of CSR NEWS editorial department. On the other hand, the news will be investigated with journalistic standards by the CSR NEWS editorial department, examining the background of the company’s commitment and their implication in society.

CSR NEWS started with the pretension to give the field of corporate social responsibility topicality, transparency and prominence based on journalistic and scientific criteria. For this, csr-reporting.net represents an important element. About 97,000 visitors monthly are using the provided services of CSR NEWS in English or German. An average session length of 12 minutes and 45 seconds proves that CSR NEWS is attentively read and used for investigation means. The news pieces from CSR NEWS are already distributed to over 2000 subscribers through the social media twitter and facebook. The daily or weekly newsletter has over 3000 subscribers in German language and over 1000 subscribers in English language. During the last week, the number of subscribers grew by 14 to 20 on a daily basis. In addition to that, the news are subscribed to over 3000 RSS-Feeds.
