Sustainability Strategist (Denmark, Copenhagen)

The Sustainability Strategist is responsible for planning, overseeing, and developing the company’s sustainability report and for supporting the Corporate Sustainability Team to integrate sustainability into the company’s strategies, operations, and culture, and promoting continuous improvement in sustainability.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to collaborate on our reporting process, and who will have the following tasks:

* Develop and implement the strategy for sustainability reporting and all necessary processes around the reports.
* Review and refine, as needed, existing reporting process using GRI G3 Guideline and Food Sector Supplement, and drawing from current best practices in sustainability reporting.
* Work with cross-functional teams roll-up data about the company’s sustainability performance, challenges, and successes.
* Help to communicate and facilitate discussion and coordination of sustainability efforts across both internally and externally.
* Help refine the corporate sustainability vision, policy, goals, initiatives, and supporting programs through a cross-functional, company-wide process that incorporates market research, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, strategic business objectives, review of existing sustainability efforts, and competitor analysis.
* Work closely with Communications department to achieve widespread internal engagement in sustainability efforts through focused, interactive communications.
* Add value to business units by providing information about sustainability best practices, market trends, competitor updates, and related current events.

You are educated with relevant Master’s Degree and have 5+ years experience in communications with emphasis on sustainability, environmental outreach or social marketing. You must have intimate knowledge of and experience with GRI Reporting Guideline (G3, 2006) and UN Global Compact Communication on Progress requirements.

We are looking for a person with exceptional written and verbal communications and ability to tailor communications to a variety of audiences and communication media, including both a strong writing ability as well as editing skills.

You have demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

You should have strong interpersonal skills, creativity, enthusiasm, and a high level of energy and initiative; and demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. It is also an advantage if you have the ability to connect, influence, and mobilize colleagues from diverse backgrounds and levels.

You must also be familiar with sustainability reporting concepts, trends, and best practices, including materiality analysis, stakeholder engagement, and online reporting.
