Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Opportunities: Griffith Business School, Brisbane, Australia

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Applications close: 10 August 2009

Needed – post docs:
Good candidates to work on project looking at transition to the carbon free sustainable enterprise economy in conjunction with a couple of global companies and leading think tanks around the world within the new -Pacific Centre for Sustainable Enterprise (APCSE) at Griffith Business School in Brisbane .

Based on the hard science assumption that what is needed is stabilisation of temperatures at between 1.5/2 degrees above now, 350/450 ppm, and 100/120% carbon reduction (up to 20% taken out of the atmosphere p.a.). This means a paradigm shift from the current model of capitalism, resource consumption and life style over the next forty years. It means a focus on people, planet, enterprise and wellbeing. It means a better life for all on a small shared planet. In this paradigm shift there is much paradox and learning.

Wanted: economists, social scientists, management strategists, organisational behaviourists, global governance people, corporate responsibility people, sustainability experts, climate change scientists especially if they can work across intellectual, professional and sectoral boundaries.
