The 3rd International CSR-Conference at Humboldt-University Berlin is organized and hosted by the Institute of Management - Forum Business & Society - at the School of Business and Economics at Humboldt-University Berlin and by its program partners. Among the 500 participants are representatives from science, corporations, politics and governmental- as well as non-governmental organizations. Thus, the conference addresses both practitioners and academia!
Topics to be discussed will range widely within the general field of CSR but in particular centre on ‘Corporate Responsibility and Governance’. The so called global governance describes the universe of mechanisms, institutions, rules and/or regulations with which different actors (e.g. governments, companies, NGOs, civil society) discuss and decide global issues.
Key-Speakers among others are: The winner of the Nobel Prize in economics Prof. Michael Spence, the founder of the Stakeholder-Theory Prof. R. Edward Freeman (University of Virginia), the founder of Transparency International Prof. Dr. Peter Eigen and Prof. Dr. Mark Pieth, Chairman of the OECD Working Group on Bribery, University of Basel.
