„Social“ and „Banking“? Why is it important that banks and financial service providers contribute to a more sustainable development? How can we use money in a way that benefits both people and planet? What specific opportunities do we have in this context - as managers, employees and customers of banks and financial service providers?

These are the sort of questions that will be addressed at the International Summer School 2008: ”Social Banking: Profit for People and Planet“ from July 27 to August 01, 2008, in Rønde near Århus, Denmark. The event will provide interested and engaged people with a thorough overview on the need for and the opportunities of a socially oriented banking and financial sector. The organizer of the Summer School is the Institute for Social Banking, Bochum, in cooperation with Merkur Bank, Denmark.

More information on the Summer School and the other training offers by the Institute for Social Banking can be found at www.social-banking.org [1]
