The Chief Ethics Officer is responsible for insuring overall Ethics across the World Bank Group.
This includes management and leadership of the EBC. It entails management and oversight of Conflicts of Interest and Financial Disclosure; Implementation and Strategic Development of Financial Disclosure Program; oversight of Conflicts of Interest and a pro-active educational role in Prevention and Outreach, fostering management and employee awareness of Bank standards on ethical behavior, business practices/conduct, etc., as established in the Code of Professional Ethics.
The Chief Ethics Officer is accountable for providing leadership and communicating the vision on all matters relating to ethics at the WBG. Conflicts of Interest and Financial Disclosure are principal areas of focus, and the Chief Ethics Officer is expected to pay particular attention to outreach and prevention. The Chief Ethics Officer will advise the President and senior management on all matters relating to ethics and business conduct.
