Autogrill publishes Sustainability Report 2005 - ReportAlert.info

Autogrill Group has released its 2005 Sustainability Report, covering all activities and initiatives undertaken between January and December 2005 in the Group’s three business areas of: North America and the Pacific Area, Italy and Other countries. The report is available online from

Some highlights include:

  • Corporate Governance model, characterised by respect for the specific legal and cultural features of the countries where Autogrill operates
  • Autogrill is the second Italian listed company in the ISS Corporate Governance ratings
  • Percentage of women employed is decidedly greater than the men: 64% women vs. 36% men
  • Over €6 million invested in training programmes in 26 countries
  • Continuous innovation as a result of partnerships between Group companies, great international brands and suppliers
  • Donated about €1 million to charities via three kinds of donation: direct, indirect and in-kind goods
  • Integrated Management System: which ensures the quality and safety of food products, health and safety in the workplace and environment
  • Obtained environmental certification under UNI EN ISO14001:2004 for Autogrill Italy (planning and preparation of free-flow and bar food & beverage services).
  • The Autogrill report was externally verified by KPMG, with GRI indicator verification taken in to consideration.

    Autogrill is the world’s biggest provider of food & beverage and retail services for travellers. With sales of around €3.5 billion in 2005, it’s present in 26 countries, with over 4,500 points of sale in 979 locations, where 51,618 employees serve over 800 million customers every year.
