Corporate Social Responsibility Policies – Promoting Innovation and Competitiveness
How can CSR and innovation and competitiveness complement each other ? The Finnish EU Presidency will host on 22nd November 2006 a CSR conference with European experts from government, business and civil society.
Wednesday 22 November the Finnish EU Presidency will host a CSR conference. Two hundred experts from government, business and civil society across Europe will explore what CSR can do for innovation and competitiveness, and what innovation and competitiveness can do for CSR.
In keeping with the innovation and competitiveness theme of the conference, the agenda will:
assess broad CSR and related trends, both in the EU and abroad, and their implications
discuss how EU CSR policy can act as a catalyst for innovative ideas
act as a forum for sharing best practice, both among multinational companies and SMEs
explore difficulties and obstacles and identify possible responses.
