The report highlights the company’s performance in mitigating its social, ethical and environmental business impacts. It candidly deals with issues surrounding the product the company grows, manufactures and markets, and covers key issues such as what is being done in terms of harm reduction, and public place smoking.
Important social issues such as addressing human rights, eliminating child labour, regulation and lobbying are also dealt with in the report, together with information on how the company is dealing with the increasing problem of illicit trade.
The report also covers employee issues, including the impacts of factory rationalisation decisions and its occupational health and safety record. The company is mindful that their operations impact on the environment and the report highlights its environmental performance and what it is doing to address its impacts on biodiversity.
