New video about the hot local-organic industry

Monday, June 5th, 2006

Portland, Oregon USA — Farmers, chefs and grocers are building new types of personal connections to thrive within the hot trend of local and organic foods.

The new DVD “Good Food, Good Business” captures revealing insights about the local and organic food trends from a variety of innovators. A nationally recognized regional grocer, an award-winning restaurant owner-chef, two niche organic growers and others offer their insights, lessons learned and industry predictions.

For example, instead of some niche growers marketing their products and services as faceless commodities, they focus on building personal relationships with commercial buyers and consumers. A regional grocer lets market share take care of itself by concentrating on building customer communities in and around its stores. And it’s all about supporting local growers to a top chef because they help him maintain the quality and signature menu that sets his restaurant apart.

The 26 minute program is targeted at the agriculture industry, food service industry, education and government markets. It retails for $30 (US) and is available through Amazon.com US and Green Planet Films during the initial release. Green Planet Films also offers rentals for review purposes or short term use.

This new video is produced by Arnold Creek Productions, Inc. Their first program “Architecture to Zucchini: The people, companies and organizations pioneering sustainability” was recently honored with the prestigious 2006 Portland Office of Sustainable Development BEST Award for sustainable product development. It has been an international hit, selling to hundreds of colleges, organizations and businesses in nine countries.

Program trailers and information about “Good Food, Good Business” and Arnold Creek Productions’ other videos is on their Web site at www.arnoldcreekproductions.com.
