Ethics and Compliance Officer Association: European Business Ethics and Compliance Conference

Friday, February 3rd, 2006

About the Conference

Please join us for our first European Business Ethics and Compliance Conference 21-23 February, 2006 at The Landmark Hotel, London. This inaugural event will bring together the ECOA’s unparalleled network of ethics and compliance practitioners with the leading ethics and compliance experts and thought leaders in Europe.

Historically, ECOA events have given us the opportunity to bring together tremendous content, up-to-date information, practical advice, take away tools, and benchmarking opportunities with our network of ethics and compliance professionals to create the most comprehensive ethics, compliance, and corporate governance experience available. We are now expanding the dialogue to specifically address the needs of our international members, the thriving European ethics community and our US based members with operations abroad. The conference will also mark the inaugural meeting of the ECOA European Advisory Council, comprised of chief ethics and compliance professionals from a wide range of European companies.

Session and discussion topics include:

  • Anti-corruption: Case Studies and Benchmarking Report
  • Effective Ethics and Compliance Programs: The European Approach
Integrating Ethics and Compliance through Incentive and Reward Programs
  • Legal Update: What’s next? A Pan European View
Communicating Ethics – An European case study
  • European Privacy laws: Impact on Ethics and Compliance Programs and Record Retention – Featuring a presentation by a representative from CNIL
“Behind Closed Doors – An Open and Confidential Dialogue for Practitioners Only
Impact of European Anti Discrimination Laws
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: The Role of the Ethics and Compliance Officer
  • Training: A Focal Point of an Effective Program
  • We are honored that Baroness Greengross, OBE, Chair of The All Party Parliamentary Group on Corporate Social Responsibility, will give the keynote address Wednesday the 22nd of February, 2006.
