Call for applications: Postdoctoral Fellowship programme 2006-2007, CREUM, Université de Montréal

Friday, January 27th, 2006

The Centre de Recherche en Éthique de l’Université de Montréal (CREUM) is pleased to announce its postdoctoral fellowships program for the academic year 2006-2007. Postdoctoral fellowships can be held for various lengths of time, but in no case can they exceed one year.

Successful applicants will receive a stipend of $ 3 000 CAN per month, a workstation at the CREUM, access to the infrastructure of the University of Montreal (libraries, sport center, etc), as well as assistance for finding accommodation. In return, selected candidates commit themselves to conduct their research project within the framework of the activities organized by the Center (workshops, seminars and conferences).

CREUM’s mission is to contribute to interdisciplinary research and education in theoretical and applied ethics. We encourage applications from various disciplines, provided that the subject of the candidates’ research is directly related to ethical problems (among others, but not exclusively: fundamental ethics, normative dimensions of professional ethics, public policies and social practices in fields such as health, law, management of human and natural environment, business and trade, social and cultural diversity, etc).

The deadline for the applications is 30 April, 2006.
