GrupoNueva

The consolidated sales of GrupoNueva reached US$1,433 million in 2005, 15% higher than 2004 and showing a continuous growth trend over the past GrupoNueva’s consolidated assets reached US$2,711 million in December 2005. The group has a solid financial position without financial debts apart from those of its companies. Its EBIDTA has shown a marked improvement over the past years, with an average annual growth rate of 40%. In 2005 it reached US$240 million.

We have managed to ensure that all our operations are run according to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, as well as to those of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in the case of our forests and plantations. Further key achievements that have had a considerable positive impact on our performance in 2005 include:

  • The merger between Terranova S.A. and Masisa S.A. was completed, resulting in the new Masisa S.A.
  • Early in 2006 The Plycem Company became independent from Amanco (to which it belonged until March 9th, 2007), to now be directly administered and controlled by GrupoNueva.
  • Masisa implemented a capital increase of US$121 million and placed bonds for a value of approximately US$163 million.
  • On the whole, GrupoNueva businesses show considerable advances. These are reflected in on-going improvements in efficiency, the optimization of its strategic focus, and its capacity to take advantage of the favorable business climate in Latin America and the United States.
