The Ethics & Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) is the professional association exclusively for managers of ethics, compliance and business conduct programs. The ECOA provides ethics officers with training and a variety of conferences and meetings for exchanging best practices in a frank, candid manner.
Founded in 1992 by a dozen ethics officers, today the ECOA has over 1,000 members representing nearly every industry. Member companies include more than half of the Fortune 100 and they conduct business in over 160 countries. In addition to corporations, ECOA membership includes non-profits, municipalities and other organizations, including: the American Cancer Society, the City of Philadelphia, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Securities Industry Association. Membership is open to ethics officers from around the world. In addition to U.S.-based organizations, members are based in Belgium, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Japan, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
