Chinese Federation of Corporate Social Responsibility, abbreviated as CFCSR, was officially founded in October 2006 in Peking University. Its head office is based in Beijing. The founding members include ten companies, namely China Merchants Bank, China Pingâ€™an Insurance Group, Vanke Ltd., Juneyao Group, TCL Group, Nokia China Investment Ltd., HP China, IBM China, Cisco China Network, and Nanfang Media Group.
Currently, CFCSR was registered with Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MofComm) under the China International Institute of Multinational Corporations. CFCSRâ€™s main scope of activities includes research, promotion and communication as well as selective social projects in partnership with its member companies.
CFCSR has set up its regional branches in Shanghai, Sichuan and Shandong. The Sichuan branch has been entitled by the Mianyang local finance bureau to issue tax-exempted receipt for all its charity and social projects incomes.
CFCSRâ€™s main source of income includes membership fees and other contributions from various channels. The main expenditures include academic research, publicity and social projects.
