Since 1992, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) has been providing socially responsible business solutions to many of the world’s largest corporations. Headquartered in San Francisco and with offices in Europe and China, BSR is a nonprofit business association that serves its 250 member companies and other Global 1000 enterprises. Through advisory services, convenings and research, BSR works with corporations and concerned stakeholders of all types to create a more just and sustainable global economy.

With extensive expertise in the areas of human rights, environment, governance and accountability (reporting), stakeholder engagement and labor issues, BSR works with companies to develop policies, tools and practices that address these issues successfully. BSR also works with member companies and other CSR stakeholders in research development and implementing change across a range of issue areas and geographies, which has taken the organization to 62 countries around the globe for project and other work.

BSR is uniquely positioned to promote cross-sector collaboration and influence key enabling institutions in ways that contribute to the advancement of CSR and business success. In its efforts to anticipate, understand and integrate society’s changing expectations of business, BSR builds public-private partnerships working both formally and informally with influential institutions like the UN, USAID, IMF and World Bank, governments, as well as numerous other CSR organizations throughout the world.
